SVIIF is held annually. The upcoming edition will take place in 06-08 August 2027. The event includes exhibitions, jury evaluations, networking sessions, and the Award Ceremony.

SVIIF is held at Mission City Hall, in Santa Clara Convention Center, Silicon Valley, California, USA. located in the heart of the world’s leading technology hub.

The evaluation process is conducted by the IFIA International Jury Board and the SVIIF Jury Board during the festival.

The jury panels bring together highly experienced international professionals and distinguished experts from leading universities and academic institutions, research and innovation centers, industry, entrepreneurship, intellectual property, technology, and commercialization, as well as successful business leaders and senior executives from prominent companies and organizations worldwide.

This diverse combination of academic, scientific, industrial, and business expertise ensures that participating inventions are evaluated from multiple perspectives, including their scientific and technical merit, innovation, practical application, development potential, and commercialization prospects.

All inventions are evaluated through a two-stage international judging process.

In the first stage, prior to the festival, submitted inventions are reviewed online by the IFIA International Jury Board. The evaluation is based on multiple criteria, including innovation, scientific value, functionality, prototype development, applicability, market potential, scientific validation, and any previous national or international awards received.

In the second stage, during the festival, the inventions are evaluated by the SVIIF Jury Board through on-site presentations, demonstrations, and direct interaction with the inventors. The results of both evaluation stages contribute to the final assessment and selection of award recipients.

Awards are presented in two stages:

• Day 3: Medals and certificates of achievement are awarded to participants.
• Closing Ceremony (Final Day): International prizes, including those from organizations such as WIPO, IFIA, and other international partners, are officially presented.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, as well as prestigious Special Awards presented by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), the City of Santa Clara, the United Inventors Association of America (UIA), the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and many other internationally recognized scientific, research, innovation, and technology organizations and institutions.

The list of special international awards will be published on the SVIIF website in the “Winners List” section. The list of medal recipients (Gold, Silver, Bronze) is available only through the SVIIF Secretariat upon individual request. Please note that, according to the event’s privacy policy, the Secretariat cannot disclose the personal details of participants or medal holders to any third party or organization without the consent of the awardee.

SVIIF is officially recognized as an international and accredited festival by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), the United Inventors Association (UIA), and the City of Santa Clara.
